What Our Members SAY...

“ As a member of Djouce Golf Club for the past five years I have enjoyed being part of this club. All the members are very friendly and there is nothing I enjoy more than playing the Sunday morning competitions where we all have a bit of banter on the fairways. The Mc Gillycuddy family have worked tirelessly to bring the course up to the standard it is today. As a result of this the course is in my top ten nine hole gems in Ireland. Membership is strongly recommended. You will not be disappointed."

Paul Kinsella, Past Club Captain

“ What a great golf 9 hole course for seniors. No hills, good challenge, especially the 3rd hole (index 1) and the long 9th (540 yards). You should give it a try. "

Seamus Kennedy

“ I joined Djouce in 1997 as I was keen to try golf after a lifetime of tennis. It really is a wonderful place with beautiful scenery on every hole, a stillness that is only interrupted by the occasional muttered expletive as a putt slips past the hole. The atmosphere in the club and on the course is always relaxed and though we try to be competitive and take things seriously we usually fail. Humour on the other hand is, like Irish in the old days, compulsory and this is presided over by the Mc Gillycuddy family who are primarily responsible for its implementation. Ah great a call from the Captain maybe there is a game on tomorrow can’t wait to get on the first tee. A special place. "

Jim Casey

“ After a 35 year break I wanted to find a club in which I would feel at ease in, while I brought my game back. I was intimidated by the more formal clubs, and was not keen on restricted tee times. Six years on I am glad I chose Djouce. Club competitions are competitive but friendly, and tee times are not a problem. The course has been continually, and intelligently upgraded.

P.S. The grub is good in the Grange Kitchen!! "

Vincent Keegan

“ I've been a member of Djouce Golf Club for twelve years and it has always been a pleasure for me to go there. People think it's a hilly course but, on the contrary, it is totally flat and challenging. It caters well for different grades of handicap. It is very 'user-friendly', lovely atmosphere and has a large number of co-operative and helpful members. The scenery is awesome, no matter the season. Djouce has a beautiful Club House which incorporates the friendly Grange Kitchen (open to the public). It's easily accessible from N11 at Kilmacanogue. "

Breda Murdock, Lady Captain 2012

“At Djouce I’ve always found my round to be both challenging and enjoyable. "

Andrew Doyle, Sandymount, D4

“Since moving to Ireland I know Djouce GC has reminded me most of golfing at home. Its flat terrain amongst the panoramic views of the hills makes for a relaxing round. "

Deborah Erskine-Shaw, Rotorua, NZ

“I’ll never forget Djouce GC as it was where I got my first (and only) hole in one. The course proved to be a test after that but I enjoyed the challenges none the less. "

Sinead Kelly, Kilkee, Co.Clare

“A real 9 hole gem"
